Default RE: JACK STAFFORD Models Aircoupe's

Its been years since I built my Ercoupe. I thought it was a tough kit to build. They do fly like a trainer at low speeds. However, they are capable of remarkable top speeds. They out run Super Sportsters !! You do need to pay particular attention when landing. The rudders and fins hang down below the stab. It is easy to knock them loose . I fly from grass. And its not that smooth. Bouncing around on the ground makes me nervous. So I generally don't do touch and goes. ( which was my original intention, a scale T-n-G bird ).
So, I generally grab a chair and sit down and slow fly the entire tank. It is hypnotizing to watch. But I am building the Ercoupe's replacement. A scale Sig Bonanza which I hope will be more T-n-G friendly.
