I use a charger called the Battery Tender.Been using these on motorcycles for years.In fact the one I charge my 12amp 12 volt field battery with is 10 years old and still works great.Just hook it up,plug her in and it does the rest.Once charged it goes into a storage mode and you can leave it hooked up until your ready to go to the field.
