I'm thinking the G20 would perform much like a 1.20 FS or better, but more cheaply on fuel.
He's gonna need a ton of nose weight with the G20 though and would cancel out any power increases that he may get. That's why you see a lot of these with G26's or bigger in them. My RCIGN1 lightened G26 is plenty for this plane and all stuff is in the stock locations with no added weight, besides, the weight difference between the recommended OS120 and this lightened G26 was exactly 18 ounces which is what the book says you need when using the OS120FS
I mounted a TME smoke pump and tank on a tray right over the CG so I'm a bit heavier than most but this plane just screams for smoke
