Speaking of servos, what do the experts think is the best buy for the UCD 46? (other than Airtronic, incompatible with Optic 6) I have a 100+ oz. servo for the rudder but I fear that at 0.33Sec/60° speed might be too slow. Plus I fear that my JR NES-517's and 537's might not work even at 6 volts for the other surfaces. I'm trying to keep from laying down another $200 or more in servos in light of the fact that this brand new $160 OS Max .50 SX (when I said "they suggested" in my earlier post, I meant that Great Planes suggested it in the manual, not the guys posting to this thread) is going to be scrapped to buy a 72 or 82 Saito 4-stroke! That would be a drag to have everything else right and no power, or all the power and no servo torque. One of these days I'll get it all right!

The last UCD I had I had 3304 servos in it. This time, I put more expensive servos in it, but if its price you are worried about, get the Saito. My old UCD flew just fine on the 3304's. This time around I like the Saito 82 more than anything. I have 3305's on the wings, and a 3310 on the rudder running 6 volts. If you are not planning on using max throws on the control surfaces to start with, then save the money on servos and dont go cheap on the motor. I cant tell that much difference in the servos, but the engine is like night and day. I had a 46 fx and ax in the first one. I would not go less than an 82. Just dont use max throws and you will be fine with cheaper servos.
