Tamiya paint is one of the beter brands. Yes you can spray it through your airbrush but you will have to thin it out if it's an enamel type paint. You will want 3 parts paint and 1 part thinner. As for backing. Once you are finished with what it is that you want it to look like, spray the whole body with one last coat of either black to make it look darker, silver for a more metalic look or white to make it look lighter. There's no need for a clear coat but i do it on all my bodies as i run them on my nitro car and it tends to keep the paint on longer if you want to run them. If its a show body just a good back coat will do. Hope this helps.
