I was waiting for this. Now I've been reading some posts that have made me rethink getting the Great Plane Hellcat. Mostly aileron issues from what I'm understanding. Does anyone have good things to say about this plane?

I just crashed my Alfa P47, after having rebuilt it so many times. She's a goner at this point. I love that plane, but my budget doesn't allow me to get another Alfa right now. The only thing that I see around that might be a close runner up is the Great Planes Hellcat. $70 is easier to swallow right now than $100-$120.

I already have a couple GWS warbirds, Zero and Mustang. I'd like a notch up on a nicer, higher caliber plane. Maybe between $50 -$70

Can anybody recommend a suitable replacement for my P47? Something I can put the same gear in and that I can use small Lipos in, like TP1320's. I'm thinking the 16oz range.

Kit or ARF, built-up or foam. Preferably a warbird, but maybe something of similar performance.

Would the GP Hellcat be a great disappointment?
