Default RE: Air Hogs Aero Ace!

There's quite a bit on these 52 pages. It's a great forum for the AA's.

With the Defender they give you an extra set of props. Bless them!
So I filled in the gapping hole with plastic from an old model kit and
drilled out a tiny hole for it to fit the EZ Charger motor shaft.
The hardest part was getting the hole perfectly centered.
The plastic insert was glued with CA and then cut flush. The EZ Charger
motor swings the prop just as well as the original Defender motor did.
The only difference I see between the two motors is that the Defender
has a transistor across it.

The second motor in the pic is the original AA prop on the EZ Charger
motor I did last night.
Now to put the Defenders on my SS/AA.

GTX, if you're looking for some balsa to fly you might want to try building
the Guillows Cloud Buster kit #4301 or the Fly Boy kit #4401.
Although you might want to try a carbon fiber rod for the Fly Boy's fuselage.
The Cloud Buster would handle the wind better since it has a 17" wingspan
but you might have to build a box for the battery & RX.
I know some people say the Guillows kits use too heavy a balsa but I've
had no problem getting their kits to fly. If you have to, pick up some lighter
balsa from a hobby shop because Guillows' plans are usually solid.
