One of my problems is I like building computers too.

I've got 2 computers now. I use this one upstairs in the living room for most general surfing, email, and RCU.
The one downstairs is hooked up to my DSL modem so that while I'm building or assembling, I can run over to the computer and get on Tower Hobbies' website to add items to my wishlist as I need them. I used to make paper lists and then run upstairs to this computer--log onto Tower and then add items to my wish list. I would always loose the lists, or forget to add something. Then I'd place my order to Tower and remember what I forgot after the order was already shipped. So, I'd be screwed and be missing a part or a pushrod. [:@] I HAD to have a computer in the shop. HAD TO.
Now, with that computer downstairs so convenient, I just go to Tower and add stuff to my wish list. It has saved me time and helped me to not forget things I need.
I want to build a computer for my 5yr old daughters bedroom, so she can play her Disney games on it. No need for internet. But, I'm having trouble comvincing my wife that a 5yr old needs her own computer. [:-] She likes to play Disney games, but the software isn't always that great, and it causes glitches in the operating system on the computer eventually. I don't want her playing the games on either of the other rigs, because they have important stuff saved on the hard drives, and when the operating system gets screwed up from the crappy Disney software, I have to format the hard drives and reboot the operating system. That wipes the hard drives out. So, it's not convenient to have her Disney games loaded on either of the 2 rigs I have now. She really needs her own computer. Really she does.
Not to hijack the thread. How many is too many? How many pairs of shoes does one woman need? How many bras does she need? How many different shades of lipstick? It's all relative, I guess.
