Default RE: U-Can-Do 3d 46?

Man, my servo came in today. I was visiting with the UPS guy and he said something about a shipment that was to go to Arizona but was delayed.....!?!?!?!?

Anyways, Ron, sorry you didn't get your stuff.

I mounted my servo in the Giant today so I'm ready to fly. But it's gonna be a couple of days before I can take the time. Hopefully on Thursday I can take a long lunch and see what this baby will do. I have now added 2.5 ozs to the Giant and I haven't even hardly flown it yet. I'm at about 12lbs 5 ozs. Even heavier with the dust on it. But with the high RPM 17x6 prop I was over 16lbs thrust. Maybe it will feel better.

I've been in a discussion on another thread about weight for a proposed 50CC gasser. I'm thinking about a CAP232 by Great Planes. With a EVO engine on it the weight by the book would be about 13.5 lbs. That brings the wing loading to about 26ozs. Everybody seems to say to keep it light and that 26 ozs is a great wing loading. For reference the Giant has a wing loading of 15ozs! This baby ought to be a feather in the sky. I'm not sure I understand all the wing loading stuff, but I do understand weight and I try to keep it as light as possible.

Anyways, have fun all.

Thanks
Barry
