RE: anything good to say about GP Hellcat?
For what it's worth here is my opinion. I flied the plane as sold and wasn't terribly impressed, although it did fly OK. I then made the following modifications and additions. E-Flight 370 in-runner 5400Kv, E-Flight 20 amp brushless sensorless ESC, TP 2 cell 1900 mah Li-Po battery, Hitech HS 81 servos, 9x6 prop.
I used the existing gear drive but had to wallow out the holes to make the 370 fit. I also removed the lower belly pan and installed the servo from the bottom, to get a better angle on the aileron linkage, and then hot glued the belly pan back on.
The plane flew great after getting the trims figured out, it needed a great deal of down elevator to obtain level flight. I am getting about 15-20 minute flight times and only need half throttle for normal flight. i have flown it in up to 12 mph winds. My flying skills aren't anything special so I won't make any comments on performance other than it does what i know how to do.
My rating.....Two thumbs up.[sm=thumbup.gif][sm=thumbup.gif][sm=biggrin.gif]
Certainly worth the money.
