Which is why i say nearly any starter system will work on any engine, becuz the shaft sizes are all the same. the reason i say MOST is becuz of size of starter houseing and exhaust port location. its only the shape of the owb thats differs in a starter system. so far i seen 2. traxxas and the rest. Sometimes it does come down to WHAT you know and not WHO.

oh great catch too. i never thought to replace just the bearings. heres a differnt method or removeal.. get a 3-6 in C Clamp, 6 preferable. use the c clamp to press the bearing in and out. you ll get an even push at the same time. use a small piece of metal on the bottom of the vise jaws for c clamp to pull against. less chance of a damage due to a missed swing or a throbbing finger. lol
