Yeah that is a good way as well, I just use a vise and some simple sockets and put the squeeze to it. A little heat won't hurt here either in removing them. I also think this should be a sticky post so that everyone who visits can attain this knowledge to save some money, because let's face it, these babies go out and a new actually thinks his/her car is broke. Then they can't believe how much that bearing really is, only to break it again shortly after.
