I maidened mine and got a coupla extra trim flights and a fun flight in just the other day, weather was great with winds @ about 4-5mph. I've had this sitting around for about a year but got busy. Finally, I outfitted with an OS .91FX, Duralite 2400mah with 6volt regulator and a Hitech 5645MG on the rudder, 5625MG's on the elevator halves and HS625MG's on the ailerons, running a Futaba 9C Transmitter and an R127DF receiver, and I slapped a 14X6 Zinger on front. I setup tripple rates on my three position G switch on my 9C. For my rates, (under D/R, EXP), I set the:

Ailerons low - 30% w/-30%exp, med - 42% w/-40%exp, and high - 55% w/-60%exp.
Elevator low - 35% w/-40%exp, med - 40% w/-50%exp, and high - 80% w/-70%exp.
Rudder low - 27% w/-40%exp, med - 40% w/-60%exp, and high - 70% w/-75%exp.

These seem to be good starting settings for 3D stuff. I am still tweaking. On my middle rates I can get a pretty good knife edge but it depends what you used on your tail. I put a nice tail wheel setup so had to use more nose weight to balance. Ailerons seem perfect for my feel although I'll probably kick up the expo a little as it's a little sensitive to me but still manageable. When going to high rates it will go right into a Wall and Waterfalls are great. Hovers are manageable with these settings but still take some work. I have to do some more tweaking to get the hovers just right. On low rates this plane will float in for a landing. You can amaze people with your "touch and goes" instead of "bounce and goes" like some people do. It's a very smooth and agile plane and I can see I'm going to enjoy it for a while. It flys like a smaller version of my Mayhem, which can make a medium pilot look good and a good pilot look great. Same thing with this plane. It'll make you a better pilot by letting you relax and try some things you haven't tried before. Good luck and hope this helps.
