RE: E-FLIGHT BLADE CP
Hey guys, bought a CP a couple of weeks ago and have about 6 flights on it. I'm starting to get a fairly stable hover going. I haven't broke anything major yet, just some dinged main rotor tips and a broken tail rotor shaft due a panic landing in grass....found out she doesn't like the grass. I've flown airplanes for about 20 years, this is my fist attempt at a heli. On the first flight I wondered what the hell I had gotten into, but it seems to be coming along nicely. Trying to take little baby steps and not get ahead of myself. Trying to follow the steps in Ray's guide. Once someone gets competent with a CP, how would that translate into flying gas helis?
I seem to have a good one. I haven't had any of the zooming up problems or anything that many seem to have with theirs. This is the coolest "toy", as my wife would call it, that I have ever had. Love it.
Also, what is a good .30 size heli these days? I have an old Concept 30 DX which you can't many parts for anymore, so I gutted the radio, gyro, and engine out of it. This heli appears to have never been flown before I aquired it so all the components are like new. The gyro is an actual gyro, but I don't know if everyone is using pezio gyros these days or what. It came with an OS Max .32. Are the Century helis that Tower sells any good or would I be better off with a Raptor, or something like that.
