Default Powered Glider

I am going to buy a Cermark Dragonfly. It comes with a 7 cell, 210mah, NiMh battey.

The ESC I am using is rated for 8 amps, 12 volts. I am wondering if any of the following configurations would give enough power. I know that weight is a different matter again.

I have found a company that sells 14 1300mah, MiMH AA pencells for £15.50. Would AA cells be too heavy for this plane?

Alternativly, the same company sells 14 700mah NiCd AA pencells for £5.30. Are nicads cheaper? I know Li-poly are the best, but at the moment, I don't want to spend that much. I may go li-poly later.

In both cases, I would make 2 packs of 7 cells. (But apparently the plane is slightly underpowered. Would 8 cells be too heavy?

Lastly, would a 9V NiMh rechargeable block be any good? They are 200mah, but would they output enough power?
