I just recently was given this almost finished plane. It looks like a classic pattern plane to me and would like some help identifying it. The wings appear to be foam core with balsa sheeting and the fuse is fiberglass. The two wing mounted retracts say "Kraft" on them.

Please let me know if this would be a good SPA plane. Also, is it legal for a SPA plane to use an electric motor and batteries? If yes on both accounts, I may finish this model with an electric motor and bring it to a contest.
