Just get some rubber drift ties.

Radial: Yokomo, HPI Advan, Pit Shimizu, Kawada, etc.
Slicks: HPI Stage D, Tamiya, etc.

You can run plastic tires, but you'll find out that you will have difficulty with throttle control if you have a rotary carb.
