Default RE: Input on engine selection

My friend just built this plane with a Saito 100 and it's tail heavy as hell. He built it stock and argued with me about the Saito 100. I told him to put a 120 in it, and he wanted to put a Saito 72 in it. He finally "compromised" with me and bought the 100. Now he realizes that he should have listened to me in the first place and got the 120. Took 8.5oz of lead on the firewall to balance it with the Saito 100.

If I was you, I'd build the plane and then figure out how much weight it takes to balance it. Buy an engine that weighs enough to balance it.

I have several of the TH .75 engines. I love them. Good power. Good price. Good reliability.

Is it heavy enough to balance this plane? NO
