I'm just getting started in giant scale and would eventually like to learn some of the 3D stuff you guys are doing nowadays. Would it be too difficult to explain what a "Blender" is in words? I haven't been able to find anything that illustrates these manuvers so perhaps maybe someone can point me in the direction of a book or video that could help me get started.
