I have had a blade cp for some time now and I just got a 30 size nitro machine. For me the nitro machine seems much more intimidating to fly, but it also feels like a sloth compared to the blade.
In the wind the blade is very hard to keep in one spot, but the larger machine doesn't even seem to notice it.
Basicly, the two machines feel completely different and if you can fly the blade AT ALL, a gas machine will be easy.
That pretty much summed it up. The difference in flight characeteristics is like night and day.
This isn't really a matter of nitro vs electric, it's a matter of big vs small. Bigger is more stable, and that's really all there is to it. Big electric or big nitro or big gas, they'll all fly a heck of alot better than any micro helicopter.
That said, a collective pitch helicopter will be more stable than a fixed pitch one as the headspeed is considerably higher, regardless of size.
Good luck with whatever you choose.
