You're supposed to balance it with an empty tank. With that main gear mounted under the fusalage you won't have to worry about any nose-over problems. Find yourself a small pilot and you'll be ready for action!

You've got it looking good! IMO the tail dragger looks better than the trike gear. Last time out I busted the tail wheel wire completely off and lost my tail wheel. I continued to take off with just the rudder and no tail wheel 2 more times. Just used the rudder for steering and it worked fine.
