Default RE: Just Bought a TRex SE, Help Me with Picking Electronics!

ORIGINAL: NitroEddie

The Spektrum DX6 is a very attractive package. Transmitter, receiver and 4 micro-servos for 200 bucks. Any real drawbacks to this package?
I'm using the DX6 in my Trex. I'm a newbie for sure but find this radio is working fine. I did NOT use the included servos in my Trex as they are not a real high quality servo, similiar to the Eflite servos found in Blade CP and the Hitec Hs-55. I went with the Hitec Hs-65 HG servos and the Futaba 401 with the 9650 servo for the tail.

The DX is totally glitch free, it's short antennas are easily hidden. The pros will all state that the DX6 has only 3 point curves instead of 5, but at my stage of flying that hasn't been a problem, and I really like not having to worry about freq tags and interfernece from other tx's.
