Default RE: Official HPI MT2 Thread

Hey guys

I got my rear diff fixed i replaced the pinion gear too, and spaced it out a bit more, now it seems fine!

however, i think i lost some bits to the front diff, from when i took that apart, the bits on each side ( sorry dont no name) where the drive shafts go into, are they surposed to have something in them ? because now at the front, the drive shafts dont seem long enough, so when you turn the shafts fall out at the wheel hubs!!

atm, ive got 2 tiny washers inside, which seems to be holding, as it pushed the shafts further into the hubs.

so what should it have ?

Also, the allen key screw, that goes into the bottom of the hub, has come out becuase it would not do up tight ? both sides are the same, but i have never touched them so how could the thread be stripped ???

are there allu hubs you can buy ? or any upgrade?

Question 2

I was fiddeling about with the servo that controlls the carburettor today as well, becuase i noticed, it was using more movement from the servo than it needed to openthe carb fully. so i thought if i can set it up better i can have more movement for the brake, thus giveing me a stronger brake.

After a while i found the throttle setting on the controller, which has seemed to even up the distance in either direction the servo travels, which is great, becuase its putting more force on the brake, however, i cant wuite get it set up so the carb opens fully, as i dont think on this setting, it has enough movement.

What can i do to improve this ? better servo? better controller ?

Thanks in advance

Dave
