Default RE: Pletti Extra 30-10 evo

Chad,

Great to hear of your tests so far, I am really looking forward to getting my Evo in the air. I am also encouraged that in terms of RPM, and current you are in the same ballpark as my 13 wind Hacker setup on the 21x14.

Perhaps now is the time to air something that I have been thinking about for some time now. As well as our 13 wind Hackers, my flying colleague and I have also tried the 14 wind Hacker Comp motor and we have always felt it was lacking the 13 wind performance on all the props you have mentioned.

Now what I find difficult to understand is how some people are actually using 15 wind motors on 22 x 12 and finding a) sufficient airspeed and b) sufficient ultimate performance to hold station in the wind.

Perhaps the Scottish and Canadian air is more difficult than the rest of the world! Are you going to try one of your repitched props on the Evo?

Also how do you get air into those big cooling inlets in the front of the motor with the spinner in the way? If more sizes of Freudenthaler blades were available I would be tempted to try Pletts spinner mounting arrangement.

Cheers

Malcolm
