Just a late email with some more numbers of some various props,
APC 22x12, 5900-6000 rpm, 80-85A, ~2800W
APC 21x13W, 6200-6300 rpm, 80A, ~2800W
APC 20x13, 6500-6600 rpm, 75A, ~2700W
APC 21x15W - custom re-pitched by myself, 6000 rpm, 85A, 2800-3000W.
I also flew all and recorded the volts and amps in flight, the 21x15W and 22x12 hit about 85A peak draw in flight, the 21x13W and 20x13 hit about 71A in flight. These are all peak draw values, at no time did I actually *need* full throttle with the exception of the 20x13. I simply hit it so to speak to see what the results would be
Of the 4, the 22x12 is by far the most powerful, it is in fact quite rediculous IMO, with the 21x15W and 21x13W only slightly less. The 20x13 is very fast, but still sufficient power to easily complete the sequence. Any of the props has plenty of power, I cant see the need for the big 22" prop at this point. Personally I think I will use the 21x13W as I feel it gives the best balance of power, speed, and battery consumption. The 21x12W may also be a very good choice, or possibly the 20x15, but I have yet to test either of those props on the motor.
During all the flights the motor never exceeded 40 celcius, even at the high loads in flight!
Off to bed
