Most electric motors for a given plane size will outperform an equivalent glow motor and weight a lot less. Aside from that though, I do have glow engines in a some of my planes(Hanger 9 P-51, Kyoso Corsair, Graupner Extra 300s, Lanier Corsair) I like them fine, but a little messy to clean up. As far as doing the B-17 as an electric, I was asked specifically to do it by Cedarhobbies.
