Dave Brown stated that AMA is doing well overall even with a loss of 2 to 3% of the membership each year. The average age of an AMA member is now 58 and recruitment has become an issue. There is some thought to a relationship with AARP due to the average age.
Is this a joke? Can someone confirm this? This is really his idea of a joint venture, to team up withe AARP? The smart move would be to work the opposite end of the age spectrum, but luckily this steers him clear of my territory.
