Great, !!!Now I have to decide on weather to get a T-45 from Tam or get an A-4, Both look great, what kind of speed can I expect from the A-4, with a P-70 or wren 54 SS ? Which airframe is faster? I will be flying on grass most of the time. Decisions , Decisions!!!! Thanks for any help. Jack.
Jack,
I regularly get questions about flying off grass with our planes, but since we only fly off hard surfaces I cannot give you any solid answers and I refuse to reccomend anything that we have not already tested. I would not hesitate to fly any of our aircraft on a grass runway, but until the time comes when I have done it I will not tell you "it will fy off grass". I can tell you that our landing gear systems and aircraft are strong enough to take the abuse of the extra resistance a grass runway will give.
The A-4 is a much faster airframe then the T-45, and a P-70 would fly either of these jets faster then most. We have flown both planes with JetCat P-60's and any others that we build will have the same power plant. I know of a few customers that will be installing P-70's in their A-4's, and that is totally in the reccomended specifications of this plane. Please let me know if you have any further questions.
