I particularly liked the comment I heard once (are mufflers really good things?), "Drive on, Myrt. It don't look like he's agonna crash." It is very seldom someone will watch a complete (thrilling and spectacular)flight. If they do, I always (if I can catch them) engage them in conversation. I do agree that the plastic nasties discouraged more than they encouraged. a lot of these problems have been solved with electricity, and many of the parkfliers are people who would have gotten discouraged by the plastic nasties a couple of generations back.
