Too bad you posted so late. I would've sold you my JR XR2i with two receivers and matching crystals for $50 shipped.

As for the radio, I would recommend getting a 75MHz system so that you can run more cars together. With the 27MHz system, there are only 6 channel possibilities, but with the 75MHz, you have around 20 choices.
