My friend just put in an order for the REVO .. k im dead lol.
Good luck as I rather have anything other then a Traxxas! Yes they are fast, break a lot, the radios are poor and the motors are very poor. Hard to tune, over heat and do not last long. Hope he got the 3.3 and maybe just maybe it will be better then the 2.5? The only way I would own a Traxxas is if they made the Revo in a kit with out a radio and engine then not sure I would get one then. But each to there own.

Yes I run rechargeable AA batteries in my TX and a hump back in my truck. Make sure you get the 6-volt receiver pack and not the smaller one. As far as a charger since where you live I think your house voltage is 220 where ours is 110 do not know what to say about a charger. Here in the states we can get a hump pack and a charger for about $20 US for a cheap set up.

traxxas revo stock, two days of practice at the race track another two days of racing = nothing broken yet ,even with a .23 engine in it.
raced against a lot of savage OH MY GOD they are always replacing parts, i don't know why.
