Default RE: Official HPI MT2 Thread

Hello all,

I have not posted on this thread in a long time “MY GOD IT'S GROWN”. I really learned a lot about the MT2 and MT1 just by reading this thread when I first got my MT1, I really enjoy reading this thread and thank you all for the great input. I just recently started reading it again and would like to throw in my 2cents (if nobody minds).

I bought the rear exhaust TSAIS NITRO DEVIL pipe a while back and I am very pleased with it. It sounds good and gave me more bottom end then my last setup (exhaust on the black on road MT1 in picture below with a ported header and CVEC Pipe). I know everyone has the same concerns about this pipe being venerable in the back with no protection, but I can tell you this I beat the crap out of all my cars and trucks and I have yet to damage this pipe. I have been through 2 bodies with this pipe on and there is no major damage yet. I have cart wheeled, nose over butt rolled, wheeled, back flipped, front flipped, jumped, ect, ect and have not damaged the pipe yet even after breaking a rear hub carrier and front arm. The only problem I had with the pipe is the header (exhaust manifold) is very soft aluminum and has bent up and down a couple of times and it is only a matter of time before it kinks or worse snaps. I think the pipe is well worth the $50-$60 paid for it and will buy another one if this one breaks.

Someone had mentioned Traxxas in this thread, I know this is not a Traxxas thread but I would like to comment on Traxxas. I think they are very tuff, but the radios they include do not mach their trucks quality and are cheap and have a cheap feel but work well. I think Traxxas builds trucks more for people who are bashing then people who will be racing. I think with the Revo they really created one great truck. I will be getting a Revo and Jato in the future to add to my collection (20 total at the moment all are in various stages of dismantle) The MT2 in the picture below in the middle will be sold to make room for the Revo and Jato along with a few other Kyosho buggies and RC10s in my collection.

Below are some pictures of some of my RC cars and trucks. I really don’t get any time to run them or build them because I have two young kids (2 years old and 3 months old) and a house that takes all my time. My 2 year old is already interested in my RC collection and loves to help me put them together, it’s great to start him off so young (my poor wife).

Anyway I just want to contribute to the thread and though a review on the TSAIS NITRO DEVIL pipe would help some people make up their minds about it.
