Losi has a kit that now has a brushless motor stock, if you just got in RC with that kit.... you may not have ever had a brushed motor.

There really is some fast brushless setup's out there that a brushed would be almost impossible to touch. The lehner's, hackers, feigio's come to mind... some of them have 60,000+ rpm's. You can generally also run more cells or Lipo easier with brushless which will give you significant gains in speed to an extent. Of course with a much lighter wallet as well.
