RE: U-Can-Do 3d 46?
Well after 3 seasons of flying, 2 different wings, knocking the landing gear off 4 times, and knocking the firewall out 3 times, the UCD had it's last flight this evening. About 4-5 minutes into the flight, I lost all control of everything (no aileron, elevator, rudder, or throttle) all I could do was stand there and watch the last 10-12 seconds of my favorite planes life and wonder what had happened. After it piled the prop nut a good 4 inches below ground I went to pick up the pieces. I fully expected to find the battery had somehow came unplugged but that was not the case. As I was picking up some small pieces of balsa, I noticed the receiver crystal laying on the grass. I picked it up and thought to myself NO WAY so I plugged it back into the receiver, turned on the transmitter and the power switch on the plane and all the surfaces at least tried to move. So I guess it's my own fault for not putting a piece of tape over the crystal in the RX.
