I remember the Troublemaker. It was an old fast pattern ship. With one of the old .60s it would hit 100mph. On the site, I also saw the Banshee, which was noted for being fast, and the Eyeball, a good knife edge plane.
A modern ARF in the same vein is the Cermark Javelin. I reviewed it for RCR and used a Mag .52 with a 10-7 APC and it was fast. With retracts and a better engine, I imagine it would really be speedy. It has a thin wing, inverted & cowled engine and is very clean. It's a good kit and easy flying plane. If you have a short field, it does not like to slow down so you have to plan the landing or it will float on by you.
