Default Transition from Foam??

What planes are the best for transitioning from foam to glow/gas powered 3D?

I am looking for a plane I can keep in my truck, so size is an issue. Anything smaller than 55" in length with a detachable wing would work. I work in farming, so I could just 'whip it out'...like a foamie. (Insert Jokes here).

Also what engine, servos etc, would you recommend. I have been looking at a lot of profiles...is that the direction to go?

I have a H-9 Showtime, (not built yet), with a Saito 125A waiting to be installed. (This plane is too large for 'spur of the moment' practice sessions). I am looking at things like the Mojo and OMP Funtana .40. I had a UCD .46 and found it to be a bit on the fragile side for carrying around in the truck and too big for the cab. (RIP).

I also have a SIG Mayhem, but again...too big for carrying around all the time.

I'm not addicted, just consistent and repetitive.
