I finally got round to bench running my factory-built Wasp autostart.
As expected it performed flawlessly. Hardly scientific but it sounded
terrific, and was obviously much more powerful than my old home built
(from the kit) MW54 mk1.

I had to back away from the bench when I throttled up as I wasn't wearing my ear
defenders so didn't get to check temp at full stick throttle (trim
centred), but did note rpm at 141,???.

Now to fit it to my Super Reaper. I fly off my own grass runways so
was reluctant to fly the Reaper with the old MW54 (I'm sure it would
have been fine, but for me more power = easier flying). The extra
power should enable me to get airborne quickly and safely.

The autostart Wasp comes with everything you need and is a doddle to
set up. I am very pleased.
