Welcome to RC Universe! You did not say how much RC experience that you have. I will guess that you do not have a lot, and suggest that you start with a real trainer plane for your first one. If you have learned to solo on a trainer, then the Hanger 9 P-51 is a decent second plane, and it flies pretty well after you remove all the slow-down crap

Retracts are neat, but they add complexity and cost, especially if your landings are not perfect every time.
