I went from my high wing trainer to a corsair with fixed gear to a mustang with retracts, definately recomend you go for something with fixed gear first, would suggest a p-51 with fixed gear but with optional retracts that you can upgrade later once mastered, a kyosho perhaps. i had the world models mustang with retracts and the gear is very flexible and requires good landings every time.
