If we can fly anywhere, where will that increase the relavance of the AMA for me? I only considered joining mandatory because the local club makes it so. I thought that was pretty much the only place the FAA would let me fly.
Solly, I am not a lawyer, but to the best of my knowledge it may be illegal as defined by local law on public property. So far the FAA doesn't regulate the hobby, exept maybe within 4 or 5 miles of an airport, and that may actually be an AMA self-imposed rule for the obvious safety reasons...again as far as I know - which probably isn't very far.
