Rog, this all works well. I'm sure that you have now learned to fuel proof your tank area of your next plane with epoxy or equivelent??? Sorry for the problems you are having. There is also a product used to clean suede shoes called K2R that sprays on that absorbs oil very well. Spray on, let it soak up the oil and brush off. Repeat until done. Then seal area with epoxy.
