neurotex, a basswood prop will be pretty durable. the best part about making your own is you can do one that matches what you need perfectly. this is where having a thrust stand and a meter to check the amp draw comes in handy.
If only I knew what would work perfectly.
Finding the perfect props could become time consuming but I think important
since the prop is arguably one of the most crucial parts of a plane.
I've started a prop thread, and before it sinks into oblivion, I hope you could
post some info about making a thrust stand there.
Any other info too would be a great help.
At the moment I'm building a prop balancer and making templets.
