Default RE: My first Buggy...

good on/off switch

well the one i use has been very good, unfortunately its very expensive BUT has NEVER let me down in over 2 years

i use the KO electrical switch, its water, dust & Vibration proof & even has a battery checking facility
it also has a built in charging lead!

conventional switches have moving parts & contacts that always eventually fail! the KO switch connects electronically so there are no moving parts or contacts to fail & as you turn it on or off by pressing & holding a button in for a couple of seconds it can't be switched off by accident
how many times have you seen cars land from a big jump only for the inertia of landing to turn the car off!
this is usually only in a vertically mounted switch with the on postion upwards

if you must use a conventional switch then get a heavy duty one from a shop that sells stuff for Helis
those guys have a large investment up there in the air & wont risk it using an inferior switch!

i originally bought my KO switch for my Heli but sure am glad it ended up getting used in my buggy
i'll never use a std type switch again, i know they seem expensive but think of it as a buy it once type of decision, fit & forget
