i think just about every AA prop i've checked has been out of balance. it doesnt hurt anything really, but it can rob some power, and make it louder too. balancing it will make the plane perform that much better. what kind of balancer did you make?
I made a very simple one using two paper clips and a pin. Insert the
pin into the prop hole and then lay the pin across the valleys of the two
paper clips. Gravity finds the heavy side.
Now I know why there has been so much of a buzzing vibration when
mounting the AA motors to a stick & tissue wing, (couldn't tell very much
on foam because the foam absorbs the vibration) props are out of balance.
