actually, it seems that the motors themselves aren't burning, it's the internal speed controls which really aren't up to the task! replacement electronics seem to do the trick.... unfortunatly...
Hey, update, I've got EVERYTHING FIXED! what's that, yes, I have replaced EVERY SINGLE ELECTRONIC ITEM ON THE 36, I know I said I wouldn't but, that 401 wouldn't work with the stock tx/rx system....
Now I'm figuring out the options on the spektrum controler (please, if you know exactly how to set throttle/ pitch mixing and a "3D" mode, like the walkera TX, I'd be MUCH obliged!

spektrum 6ch Rx/Tx
spektrum servos + one futaba tail servo
35A speed control (I blew the 25A one...)
align 420LF
401 gyro
