Just to get an idea of how it would look with some scale grass and stuff in the net, I've included some pics. While the tanks in these pictures have tons of mud on them, you can see how they use whatever they can to break up the outline of the vehicle.

You could even just pick vegetation up from the yard and put it in the net.
