Cowled engines tend to run hotter on the ground compared to flight. Plane's speed helps cooling.

Hence, measuring temp on the ground means nothing for the flight. However, as a general rule 250-300 F would seem OK to me at the hottest point of the engine for 4-strokes on the ground.
