Fantomas--Yes the shock bodies are plastic. I think they hold up very well. I have seen the aluminum shocks bend and bend due to the unforgiving nature of the aluminum, plastic flexes enough to give. I have not tested a set myself but I do intend on trying them some time soon...Yes the dust boots do fit the the stock shocks but I recommend using small zip ties to hold them on better at the shock body.

I have a Nemesis with aluminum GPM suspension parts as well as many other hop-ups and mods.. They are holding up well to some very hard bashing/testing. I can post some pics if you would like to see them.
