Default RE: noob to rc

I have a himoto syclone pro with the two speed...been happier with it than my son's traxxas stadium maxx...I've been able to keep it running a lot longer and it was much cheaper...I got it on Ebay 'cause I was given a $200 cap (OK so I spent 225 out the door, but I got a bunch of extra glow plugs, in line fuel filter, and starter kit)...but learning what I have since, I'd get from Mark at Top Speed Toys...I still need to figure out what I need to place one order with him, but he's been great with people in the threads and has good prices...

As far as truck or buggy, everyone has their own opinion...depends on what you plan to use it for, and what you want out of it. If you plan on flatter dirt, or jumps and want top speed, go with the buggy, if you're going over rougher terrain, where you need the ground clearance, go with the truck...but what I've seen in the threads vs my personal experience, I think the buggies are more durable, as the bigger wheels put more strain on the drivetrain and suspension components....Just MHO....
