Default Powering my Glider!

I am scratch building this 190cm glider,
and am powering it by a Speed 400 direct driving
a 6x3 folding prop; batteries that I am considering
are a pack of 2000mAh, 7.2 v ; however, it turned
out to be extremely heavy,.......!
Was checking the new generation of batteries the
other day and came across the Lithium Ion....
Any opinions about this kind of powering system??
Two cells are giving me 7.2v and 1800 mAH with
a much lighter weight; you will not imagine !
Need your opinions about this new setting before
I can start assembling the new system???
Cheers as well as Jeers???

Wishing you all a Happy New Year full of sucess and safe Landings!
